The ice on our lake formed in a really unusual way this year, freezing and then breaking up into chunks before refreezing in a beautiful amalgamation. I got a few shots and the very next day it warmed and thawed and refroze in a boring plain sheet. I never realized what I had until it was gone. At least I got something out of it.
(Shhhhh, Generik, that camera is our little secret! But, yes, I finally got something useful out of the damn thing. I'm just far more comfortable with my old camera, and that's 3/4ths of the battle.)
