Back of Parliament
From my first night in Budapest, a view from the opposite side of what someone on Flickr termed the "money shot" of Parliament on the Danube. I got plenty of those, too, but I like this one a lot.

Rush Hour Along the Danube

I know, I know... yet another long exposure from Europe. Call me a sucker for this kind of shot. I totally am.

Matthias Reflected

There's something about this shot that I find both very cool and very disconcerting. Your mileage may vary.

Modern Magic

Seen in Old Town, Prague.
(Maybe this helps answer ahab's earlier question about how Westernized Prague has become since the Velvet Revolution...)

Sundown Over the Danube

Autumn on the Vltava

Late afternoon from one of the bridges across the Vltava River.
Seriously, the Czech Republic needs to buy a damn vowel. Maybe they should contact the Netherlands; they could certainly spare a few.

Travel Thursday: Florence

Bell Tower at Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence.
(I've been sick all week, thus limited online presence. Starting to rebound today, thankfully.)

Travel Thursday: Berlin

This is the bombed-out (and preserved that way) Kaiser Wilhelm Church at twilight. We only had 24 hours in Berlin, so we tried to make the most of it. What we really need to do is go back and spend a week or more.
