Coffee Cracks

Cracked Porcelain
The interior of a beloved and much-used mug that I got from Peet's some ten years ago or so.

Nice, I like it.

Tom, is your macro lens built into the Olympus camera Flickr says you use? I always thought it was a separate, specialty lens on a DSLR.

I'm just curious. Generik has me considering asking Santa to upgrade some of my equipment. (Actually, I think my compact Canon has a macro feature, but I've been too lazy to figure it out yet.)

Thanks, Ahab.

It's built-in...and my camera isn't exactly a high-end model (~$200 in 2005). I think they're pretty much standard these days.

Yeah, my little Canon S50 has a macro feature on it that's pretty decent. So does the Rebel.

I love the abstractness of this. It could be anything, any size. I almost wish you hadn't identified it right away, just to keep us guessing for a while!
