I don't know what Ahab, Generik and Tom Hilton are up to on this site but your work is absolutely beautiful. I went through each of your flickr accounts and was blown away. I wish I had more words to lace together that could express my "feelings" towards your work but they would not do it justice. I have sent your link to a few friends because they need to see what you are up to.
Keep posting... fantastic...
Question - what keeps people from ripping off your work? No watermarks?

Now THAT is my kind of comment!!!

Savannah, you're way too kind, but we'll accept it! ;) Thanks for looking at our stuff. And for liking it.

Those two blog-mates of mine are pretty darn good, aren't they? They've been doing it for a good long while, too. I used to do photography back in college days (twenty+ years ago already), but it wasn't until Tom invited me to co-blog on our other (political) blog that I got back into the hobby. And there's nothing like it. Even my crude artistic efforts here have become an important creative outlet for me.

I'm so pleased you have enjoyed our work. Please continue to visit and have a look now and then.

Are you an artist like our mutual pal E-6? Seems like our main commenters (Donna and E-6) are artists themselves.

(Oh, as for the copying issue, I think people can rip off our stuff, but only in the low-res online versions.)

Ahab, great pic.

And Savannah, thanks for the incredibly kind comments! I can't claim to know what I'm doing (especially compared to Ahab and Generik), but I'm having fun doing it--and knowing that there are people who like what we all do makes it all the better.

Question - what keeps people from ripping off your work?

Obscurity.

I told Savannah she had to "behave" if she came over here. ;-) And might I add my humble encomiums next to her effusive bouquet.

Dang, my head is swelling so much I'm not going to fit through the door! Thanks, Savannah (and Tom and ahab and E-6) for the very kind words.

Don't tell anyone, but I don't really know all that much about photography. I just look at what other people do and try to sort of copy the stuff I like. It's a good thing there are so many good photographers out there (and I definitely include my blogmates in that equation), because they constantly provide me with ideas and inspiration.

Hey, I call'em like I sees'em...

I did good, huh, Error? Well behaved and all.

Your stuff's good and who cares how you got there. YOU GOT THERE...

Reminds me of trips home up the 35after Sgt. Prestons. Didn't care how I got there... I GOT THERE.

One small problem: an EMPTY highball glass. What's that about?

Problem solved, a cool and wet martini... dirty.
