Shadow Shot Sunday
Early morning ice-scraping at the seasonal rink in Justin Herman Plaza, San Francisco.
Shadow Shot Sunday is sound both in theory and in practice.

There is just something not right about this...San Francisco...CALIFORNIA...ICE-skating...you need to visit my driveway in Iowa...Ha!
From one side of our office building I can see this ice rink; from the other I can look down and see people swimming. That's California. ;-)
beauitifully composed shot..it seems that ice rinks in warm places are all the rage - we have one here every Xmas in the main plaza (zocalo) in Mexico City - no one can skate but everyone has lots of fun clinging to the boards and stomping round - ity must be the only ice rink where the middle is never used at all!!
The worker seems so upright and energetic, which this shadow proves nicely. It is nice to see the ice on a warm and sunny day outside - in warmish weather! Nice capture!
What a great shadow shot for the day! We've been doing some ice scraping, too!
Have a great weekend! Stay warm!

Looks to be playing Shadow Hockey.
My daughter tells me CA had some temps in the 30's recently!
this is a really great shot.
Ice skating in California - what next? Snow in Brisbane? Now that would be worth waiting for!
That would be nice to have around..
During winter, its good to look at pictures during summer
I like how the sweeper silhouette in shadow tells the story.
AMPCO shadow parking on the wall of the rink! I'd love to be ice skating right now. I just read your comment about people both ice skating and swimming in California. That's kind of crazy :)
That's a cool shadow!
It looks very cold! Nice cool ambience for a shadow and a shot of the person carefully staying upright!
Do they skate in shorts and bikinis? There are lots of seaosonal ice rinks here too but I am too scared nowadays to venture onto them, fun though it is!
{luv} the 'hypocrisy' - ice & San Fran.
