Don't take this the wrong way, ahab, but this looks like a painting. One of those palette knife jobs you might see inside a room at a Marriott. It looks nothing like a photo. (Is it all reflection?)

Upon further review, this blows any hotel painting out of the water. (I can't stop looking at it.)

It's all reflection, E-6. And, thanks! (For the record, I'd sell to Marriott. Hell, I'd sell to Red Roof Inn!)

You know, I agree it's sort of lacking, sort of static. It could have been so much better if only a damn duck would have swum through. Something to break the surface, something to add a dimension. Same with my shot "wetland," a few weeks back. But what are you gonna do?

I don't see it as static. My first thought was...Monet, eat your damn heart out. So yeah painterly.
