Thanks heaps for letting me know where Brisbane is over there. I knew that there was a Brisbane somewhere in American but didn't know exactly where it was. Now I do :)
Somehow, the Brisbane/KCNP discussion reminds me of that German guy a few years ago who was flying to New Zealand with a stopover at OAK, and when they announced the stop he thought they were saying 'Auckland' and got off the plane.
Well, and I recall an instance that was very similar, but had a quite different ending -- a European passenger was on his way to Oakland, California, and was supposed to change planes somewhere in the US, heard "Auckland" over the loudspeaker and ended up half a world away. The story said he realized something was wrong when his flight was in its fifth or sixth hour...
