Wetland 2

The pads are there at the very top. I'm a bit further away here than in the other shot.

This is the idea I mentioned the other day I'd had for my DSLR. Since I spend so much of my free time these days rowing, and since rowing is visually as well as spiritually amazing, I figured out how to hook up the camera to my dory. But I positioned its view too low, so I came home with hundreds of shots of my boring wake. Like 6' from the rear of the boat!

Luckily, a Belted Kingfisher made such a ruckus near me at the end of my row, that I diverted into a wetland area to see him. This shot was an attempt to capture him in reflection. He's absurdly cool-looking. And I will get him, I vow to you here and now that I will get him!

Another beauty. I'd have been proud to take this shot.

Thanks. This one's a testament to G's advice to get out and shoot your 'hood.

I definitely should be exploiting the lake in a more organized way.

This reminded me a bit of the wonderful abstract expressionist painter--Joan Mitchell. Lovely shot.
