Shadow Shot Sunday

Safeway Shadow
Last week, when there were shadows in my neighborhood, I didn't post one; so this week, when there are none, I'll post something I shot last Saturday. This is in the Safeway parking lot at 7th & Cabrillo.

Want to play? Here are the rules; selections from last week are here.

Amazing how anything as ordinary as a shopping cart can create such a fascinating shadow!! Great shot, Tom!

Have a great Labor Day weekend!

Brilliant shadow. Looks a bit like a bear with his nose in the air-as well as a shopping trolley of course. Did it have solid sides or is that the angle of the photo?

great shadow shot - our shopping carts are usually all tied together - you don't see a lone one unless a hooligan has dumped one in the canal.

I thought it was some kind of ride you were going to take..Never would have thought it was a shopping cart..Good job.
Happy SSS.

Great shot... I love the way shadows of ordinary objects are so much more beautiful than the object itself...

Sweet. I didn't recognize what this was until I read your blurb below the photo.

What a cleaver shot, at first I didn't have a clue, but when you said Safeway...duh...but it's a very interesting angle making the shot very artsy, especially with the textures in the stones adding more dimension...cool!

I did not expect to say that a shopping trolley could look beautiful! But the shadow shows it can have stunning, artisitic beauty! Beautiful photo!

Oh it's a shopping trolley! Would never have guessed that! I like the rocks at the bottom. I love how you've made a boring old shopping trolley look so interesting!

Fabulous - what a great way to make an ordinary, kind of boring item, completely brilliant!
