Shadow Shot Sunday
Saw this on a late afternoon at my friend Mike's place in Romoland, Southern California. The late sunlight creating long shadows made me think this might be a good candidate for Shadow Shot Sunday. To see some of last week's SSS images, go here.

Fabulous! Wow! I really love this shadow shot and it looks so big in comparison to the real thing!
Have a great weekend!

It almost looks as though there's a fern growing out of the heater. You have created a really beautiful image - so simple yet so imaginative.
this image looks great in monochrome...
You thought correctly, sir. Great shot--love the crispness of everything.
Love how the fine detail of the ironwork is highlighted in shadow crawling up the stairs! Great in monochrome!
I love the warm afternoon light on this. Neat shadow!
My brother heated his Santa Rosa home in Ca. with a stove just like that, we bought it at a passing yard sale...it sure won't heat the homes in Iowa though, where he now resides...unfortunately!
Very nice. I like the way the shadow broadcasts those decorative cutouts. B&W is right for it, too.
Does it cast heat as well as is casts shadows?

This is a perfect candidate for shadow shot sunday! I really like the different effects of the shadow as it falls on the two surfaces. So crispy and clear on the steps and then soft against the wall. Gorgeous shot!
that's a beautiful shot!
Thanks so much, all. My friend Mike collects these stoves. I don't know if this one (or any of the others) is still in working order, but I do know they're pretty photogenic.
