A friend's dad had a black one, growing up. He bought it around 1970 and kept it forever, to his wife's lasting consternation. I remember spirited discussions about its status: classic, antique or piece of junk.
It's the model men wouldn't buy because of those Jane Russells on the front.
That sounds right to me, but I'm not well-versed in the details. Looks like the cars I found on a Flickr search for 1958 Eldorado, anyway.
What's in the garage?
Another beauty, and I hope to get a shot of it sooner or later. Something much older--from the '30s, I'd guess--but I haven't seen it close-up enough to get a make/model.

That's a well-cared-for beauty. Love those tailfins! I'll bet that's a lot of fun to drive with the top down on a sunny day.
ooo weee, time to head to the drive in movies!

Having looked at the 2nd shot now, no, my friend's dad's was a '55 or '58 Cadillac sedan, newer and blockier and bustier than the one pictured.
a car can be busty? I'm smiling here -- thank you!

Methinks it's a '58 Eldorado, no?
