I went on a "team-building offsite" with my group last week to the Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park. It's a great museum that includes the Morrison Planetarium and Steinhart Aquarium, among other features. Here are a few of the shots I got while I was there.

Jesus H. Christ, what an outing. And try telling me you didn't decorate that third tank yourself with things found on the street.

Great stuff! Several faves in there--the first one, the gator reflection, and of course the lesbian Barbie tableau.

It was a very cool trip, my first time back there since it's been renovated and remodeled.

The lesbian Barbie tableau is supposed to represent the typical contents of a shark's stomach, but I prefer to think of it as just some curator's indulgence in his love of dada. Although, yes, I do wish I had put that together!

Just spectacular colors! The red one is sublime. (Do I see some Phillies red in there?)

The capture of Claude and his reflection gleaming a ghostly white is particularly fine!

Thanks, Kym!

Ahab, the Phillies are the only team left in the playoffs that I could root for in good conscience.
