Thanks! There were just a few of these near Etna Summit, poking up way above the manzanita. You've probably seen tons of them up where you are, but this was a first for me.

Thanks! I got new image processing software (Sagelight, was on sale for $39.95 with lifetime upgrades), and the other day I started playing around with the polarizing filter--which makes a huge difference in converting to black & white.
