Boom House Kitchen

This is so evocative. It reminds me of a few places I visited up near Eureka when one of my good friends was a student at Humboldt University.

Love this.

Evocative is the word. Makes me think of my grandparents' cabin in Ward, CO when I was a kid.

This scene is from the "Boom House" on Ambajejus Lake, ME, which was a camp for workers who used huge booms to collect tens of thousands of logs floated down the adjacent Penobscot River onto the lake. Then they'd tug the booms over several connected lakes to another run of river and eventually to a paper mill.
