Shadow Art

Shadow Art

Is it graffiti? Is it art? Or is it just a friend's shadow against an urban wall in the early evening? Whatever it is, it looks like a likely candidate for inclusion on a Shadow Shot Sunday. Just ask these fine folks, they'll tell you. Make some of your own!

What a terrific capture for the day! And you're right, it doesn't make any difference who or what, just the lovely presence of wonderful sunlight! Have a great weekend!

So far it is a headless dinosaur. I say art, there was some effort to express something, and where graffiti itself sets borders to say 'keep out', art expands the boundaries...

WowZa! I like it!! Here's a quote from the late, great Keith Haring:

The dripping... well, if it happens, it happens; it does not take anything from the work. The dripping just proves that you were not trying to control the work, but the work was developing by itself and if it drips, it's a natural part in the evolution of the work.

Neat shadows! There seems to be a very fine line between art and graffiti. I think it depends on what the creator of it was trying to say, if anything.

I like it - art, graffiti, shadows - it's all good.

Cool shot. The red looks like the seal in an Asian print.
