Shadow Shot Sunday (In My Neighborhood)

Portico
This is a house on 15th Ave near Geary (for those of you who know the city) that I've passed and been tempted to shoot scores of times, and never did...but the fading sunlight and tree shadows finally tipped the scales.

Portico 02
This young woman saw me shooting, and came out to pose for a picture.

Here are Shadow Shot Sunday rules, and some results. Try it yourself!

You could drive around and around San Fran for hours and never get bored, the oppulence just oozes from every corner, no matter how degraded, it has a worthy history.

The Spanish influenced architecture is beautiful, stucco not a building material we see in New England. Of course, the style is complemented nicely by the shadows. The nice resident is a find, lots of people might object to your photo taking - but not her! The pleasant lady is as nice a find as the dwelling!

Why can't we have houses with character any more? This house just oozes charm - and girls, apparently!

As Robyn said, that house has such charm and we have nothing like that here in Brissy. Well not that I've seen anyway. I love it! And what a bonus to have the resident pose for you!

That is a home oozing personality! And that first shot with the play of shadows just adds to the charm! It is a little like a mini neo-classical icon!

That top shot is just splendid. There's at least 3 stories going through my head (cue Rod Stewart, Every Picture Tells a Story).

Wow. That house is pretty special-extra bonus for sure with the shadows! And extra surprise to have such a happy resident coming out to join in!
