What a terrific shot, Tom!! Love it!
Have a great weekend!
has a cool abstract expressionist feel to it.
Beautiful shot..You know this would look great framed..maybe you did that already.
Happy SSS.
Extraordinary photograph - how fortunate to be in that location . . .
That's the most awesome shadow shots I ever see, so far.
Job well done...
Such beautiful mountains!
Thanks, y'all! It really is a gorgeous area...I feel lucky to get to hike there.
like that you chose monochrome for this shot... lots of detail this way!
I used to live in the Rockies of Colorado, you make me yearn for a backpacking trip in the high country, stunning B&W.
Shannon, 99% of what I do is color, but looking at this, somehow I just thought it had to be black and white.
Sweet Repose, my first hiking experiences as a small child were in the Front Range on family trips to Colorado (we had relatives there)...that's where I really learned to love the mountains.
What a fabulous photo! I just popped over to look at more of your photos from the Trinities and I especially loved all the flowers! What a magical place!
Love the tree shadows I remember skiing in shadows like that
Ah, hemlock shadows,
will you vanish with snowmelt
or perhaps sooner?
fantastic shadows, and very cooling and refreshing
