Sticking with winter bird shots here. It's snowing out, the lake remains frozen over and we're getting 6-10" more snow tomorrow. %#^&! On the bright side, two Common Loons stopped by yesterday and a pair of Wood Ducks came by this morning. They know something the weatherman does not.

Such a beautiful capture of a pair of beautiful ducks! I love the shiny green head on the male duck! Superb! Hope you have a great weekend, Tom!
Sylvia
Looks like they're about to get overtaken by that tsunami wave, Tom.
I mean ahab.
Sorry, Sylvia--wish I could take credit for this great shot!
Hi Sylvia, thanks guys. It is a goofy perspective, though, isn't it? That's a flat ice sheet next to the water. I tried to crop the shot to highlight the variegation of the ice, but it ended up looking a bit like a tsunami, especially so on the blog, for some reason. Must be all that blue.
