that is a SPOOKY shadow... looks like a great big head with hollow eyes... fitting, for Death Valley! :)
What a great shot! Does look somewhat like a big head rising slowly to check out Death Valley! Love it!
Have a great weekend, Tom!

Wonderful shot!
Oh my, that is beautiful. What a shot..Happy SSS.
Whoa! That is one incredible view! As Shannon said, it does look a little spooky and very fitting for a place called Death Valley!
This is one awesome shot...thanks so much for sharing.
What a beautiful vista!
I really like the spots of sun on the grass.
Nice shot.
Thanks, y'all! It's really an amazing place...hard to take a photo there that isn't spectacular.
Trying to figure out how those bright patches are there....fantastic shot!
I love the subtle layers of contrast in this photograph. Nicely done.
The shadow of death
creeps across torrid valley,
looking for victims.
Amazing shadow! Love it!
This is a gorgeous view, Tom.
Very scenic and great shadow

Trying to figure out how those bright patches are there....
Dante's View is on the crest of a ridge; the sun is behind me in this shot, low-angled, so it picks up anything that sticks up above the shadow line (in this case, sagebrush).
Speaking of Ansel Adams... That is stunningly good.
Beautiful shadow shot. And that sunlit sage in the foreground just MAKES it. Wow.
