i knew the whole half block where fina estampa and the donut shop would be gone, but so trippy to walk by and see it totally gone. i snapped a few but had yet to upload them anywhere ;|
Meli: I actually had dinner once or twice at Fina Estampa many years ago. Not very memorable food, though I do recall noticing for years afterward that at least half to three quarters of all Peruvian restaurants are also named Fina Estampa. And yes, so weird to see a big hole in the ground where there used to be shops and buildings that I saw or was inside of at one time or another.
Tom: Yes. As our friend Michael Kirschner said, it looks a lot like Shanghai around here these days.
