I was in Oakland last Friday night for a photo show by some of my Flickr pals, and the cafe they were exhibiting in was across the street from the late, great Parkway Theatre. Damn shame about this place no longer being in business.

my first job was at a big old movie theater -- the kind with an orchestra pit. this shot makes me all wistful.
