Here's one that garnered a little attention on some of the local blogs. This is the waterfront restaurant known as Mission Rock, which has been completely redone and reopened with new owners and a much-needed sprucing up. Good menu, great place to enjoy some oysters and a beer at the edge of the SF Bay.
From my first night in Budapest, a view from the opposite side of what someone on Flickr termed the "money shot" of Parliament on the Danube. I got plenty of those, too, but I like this one a lot.
Driving along Highway 36, east of Fortuna, I spotted this now-defunct gas station being used to store a different kind of fuel. Mrs. G obliged me and pulled over so I could get the shot.
The first time Mrs. G and I visited this place, just outside of Eureka, was on our honeymoon, 27 years ago. It hasn't changed a bit.
