White Light, White Heat
Taken Friday night from the 8th floor terrace of the Hotel Vitale near the Embarcadero, after a wonderful birthday dinner with some friends across the street at Boulevard (my favorite restaurant).

Very nice! Almost like something out of Brassai. Fog and grain it up a little and, voila.
Love this -- expect Bogie and Bacall to show up at any moment. And happy birthday!
Beautiful. And it sounds like a great time; I haven't been to Boulevard since the '90s, but it was fantastic then.
Suggest you delete the name of the hotel so they don't know we like to sneak in and use the terrace.
