I love those cholla! Such cool plants. They'll stick to you from like 18" away, as I'm sure you know.

Thanks! Yeah, I brushed up against one in the Granite Mountains and was lucky to get away with just one spine in my leg. Which was good, because it wasn't fun pulling it out.
Those spines pierce right through shoe leather! And you don't need to touch them -- they reach out and get you, I swear to god. Magnetically, or something.
I did not kick that cholla!
