ahab said...: They are some healthy crows. There were three of them but one didn't fit into the frame. The next shot I took got all three in one extremely dramatic pose, but I'd lost focus. It's still pretty neat-looking. Like a classical painting or something. This is a common scene in spring and fall especially, during periods of migration. But this chase occurred right smack in front of me. I got nice closeups of just the hawk before the crows moved on him. He's actually of pretty healthy size himself. The crows have to walk a fine line in attacking an attacker like him. Lots of advanced tactics are at play on both sides.; March 15, 2012 at 7:09 PM
