Yes, this was shot in a part of Bisbee, AZ, a wonderful little burg in the copper-rich Mule mountains right down near Mexico. The painter, like most of the locals, was a pretty cool character.
I don't think I've ever been there (if I have, it was years and years ago), but I know a little about Bisbee. There's an autobiography of a guy who grew up there in the early part of the 20th century -- can't remember the title or author's name at the moment -- that was quite entertaining.

That's one solid looking ghost!
Nice shot. Arizona?

Bisbee is a ghost town enjoying an afterlife. (Thanks to the 1970's efforts of an artist, a businessman, and John Wayne.)
I was very pleased with this shot myself.
