At Upper Chain Lake, near the southern end of Yosemite National Park. Heading up to the Sierra in a couple days to do a trip into the park from the opposite end--out of Twin Lakes, familiar to our loyal readers as Generik's favorite vacation spot.

Going the Barney Lake route?

I'll pass Barney Lake on my way out. I'm going in via Little Slide Canyon, which is the deep impressive canyon you see to your left hiking up the Robinson Creek trail.
