Saw this on the sidewalk just outside the entrance to my building one morning last week when I was on my way out to work. The night before, a homeless person had been bundled up and sleeping on it. It was all gone, the mattress and all the junk around it, when I got home at the end of the day.

Mattress Detritus

Fascinating. you could base an entire novel on this one shot...and it looks a very comfortable mattress too.
Great shot. The shoes left behind strike me as particularly fascinating. A homeless woman, I hazard to guess wouldn't have left them there. A homeless man may have had a "visitor." Lots to ponder there.
May be a theme worth expanding on? Not sure because I'm not a visual artist, but your photo is a evocative.
I want to know the story!
I wish I knew the story! About all I know is contained in the paragraph that accompanies this shot.
Of course, I could always make something up...
