Winter at Clear Lake

Even though I hadn't seen it when I took this picture, I'm posting this after being inspired by ahab's elm picture. I'm just a little embarrassed to admit, however, that I don't know what these trees are. Maybe one of my blogmates or a reader can enlighten me.

    Not sure what kind they are. For all my interest in photographing trees, I can't name many of them.

    I'd have to see the tree up close and personal, with leaves on, and then MAYBE I could take a guess. Billions of years ago I knew trees. Spend 25 years living in the city and all that knowledge leaks out.
