    Nice. I particularly like the DOF and that red crest. Woodpeckers in California are not as good looking as the ones back East, imho.

    Thanks. This is the "Woody Woodpecker" type of bird. Huge and with the even bigger hyena laugh. This looks a bit like an old-timey diorama shot, doesn't it?
