I worked until midnight that day. My consolation (apart from doubletime) was a few good shots of the evening light.

In Your Eyes

I was looking at myself in the black and white world. A self portrait, reflected in my friend Bob's sunglasses on the most recent CALIBER SF photowalk.

3 Samples

Three Samples

Three cell culture samples cast long shadows on a lab notebook in the morning sunlight. Wait... I don't work on Shadow Shot Sunday! And I'll bet most of these people don't, either.

Shadow Shot Sunday

E2 Reflections 02
As I've mentioned before, Embarcadero Center isn't much as an aesthetic whole but it is a never-ending source of interesting shadows. This is on Sacramento, along the southern edge of Embarcadero 2. I think I prefer this one, but there's a black and white version below the fold.

Shadow Shot Sunday: the gift that keeps on giving.

Little Indian

A perfect vehicle to ride on Shadow Shot Sunday. Let's go visit some of last week's participants, shall we?

The National Pastime

Old Time Base Ball

Baseball season is here! The Giants beat the Astros in their first game of the season yesterday, so they can still go 162-0 (theoretically, anyway).

Huzzah for the national pastime!

When Captain America Checks His Mighty Cell Phone

When Captain America Checks His Mighty Cell Phone

Saturday I spent the afternoon visiting with my good friends Joyce and Arthur, who happen to be comic book artists and were busy signing autographs for their adoring fans at this year's WonderCon. I've attended this event a couple times over the past few years, using the occasion as an excuse to hang out with Joyce and Arthur and to take pictures of the participants. This particular shot, which I uploaded Saturday evening, was picked up and put on the Flickr Blog, and as of just a few minutes ago had over 3000 hits today alone.

Wow.
