Spent four days last week up in the mountains near Sequoia National Park. Snow is best as something you go to, rather than as something that comes to you.
quite agree - fortunately it doesn't come much to me here in mexico - I have to go to the snow-capped volcanoes - what a magical and lyrical shot you've taken this week- wonderful!!
Hi Tom - the banner shot is none other than Popacatapetl the smoking volcano near Mexico City - I took a day trip out to Amecameca the base town nearest the twin volcanoes and just couldn't stop taking shots of the snow capped cones - they were so stunningly beautiful - have a look at the post on Feb 8th if you want to see more....
The shadows are lovely, their cold blue hue just right for the season. In the CA mountains, the snow is plentiful. but the fresh snow so conducive to shadowy art...
I love snow shadows. It is over 100 degrees here in sunny Western Australia. I sure wouldn't mind if some snow came to me right now, but I understand your philosophy!!

That looks so clean and cool. I love the light on the snow crystals.
ReplyDeleteThat is very pretty looking snow. I think I'd prefer to visit snow rather than it visiting me. Not that either happens anyway. Have a great week!
