Savannah, that's just what I was going for. This is one of my "Impressionisms in a Hurry." I call the actual technique "schmeer," and I talk about it all the time in order to annoy my wife. ;)
But on the palette, yeah. The original shot is vertical and included a chunk of almost indigo sky. Really a gorgeous moment. That vertical view may be better. I couldn't decide.
It's so nice not to have to paint the whole goddamned thing before changing one's mind about these things, E-6. Coupla clicks and I'm done.
