A Cosmopolitan (vodka, unsweetened cranberry juice, fresh lime juice, triple sec) in bright late afternoon sun.
Shadow Shot Sunday is FDA-approved, and it's the latest dance craze.
Update: for more shadows this week, check out these photos of my friend Allison's art show. Posted them yesterday, and it didn't even occur to me how appropriate they would be for SSS...
Yumm, such beautiful Autumn colors, just wish I could imbibe without repercussions(hot flashes)(and falling down)...
ReplyDeleteI see two drinks here, the original 1930s cocktail, while the shadow has the look of a 1980s cocktail made with Bailey's, or Kaluha. For me, I prefer the art-deco styled ruby one!
ReplyDeleteWow! what a delicious shot to start the day, Tom -- it's a little early here for the real thing, so this is perfect! Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
Sylvia
Now I am thirsty....great idea for a shadow shot...
ReplyDeleteInteresting shot! I like the small rainbow in the shadow.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you can make that last until Martini Monday...
ReplyDeleteJust the thing to have on a quiet night home, with the rain falling outside - as it has been for most of the week here. Now where did I put my cocktail shaker?
ReplyDeleteI'll drink to that, or maybe I should drink that.
ReplyDeleteExcellent! And pretty too.
ReplyDeleteRefreshing! Happy SSS to you .
ReplyDeleteOooh that looks so good! A beautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the work of your friend. What an amazingly talented artist she is. The pieces must be magical to see in person!
This is awesome. Well done.
ReplyDeletecheers to that!
ReplyDeleteCome and find out on how to become tall at my page.
MMmm...my favourite cocktail - lovely colours and I'm sure it was nice to sip too!
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIts great...mmm..looks refreshing, love the rainbow-ish reflection along with the shadow.
ReplyDeleteDon't drink and shoot!! Wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteIs that a rainbow or are you just happy about happy hour?
