Yes indeedy, Ahab. Donna, nah--Seattle is the Emerald City. ;-)
This is perhaps the best time of year to visit California (except for all the other times of year when it also is). The green has a vibrant glow to it, and, as Tom said, turns to golden brown in a much too-short time.
